Welcome to the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Employee Intranet! We’ve worked hard to try and bring everything that employees need together in one convenient location. This article will act as a quick-start guide to help you learn about everything we’ve included so you can start using it immediately! Let’s get started.
Beginning at the top right-hand corner, you will see a Day/Night Mode switch, the Help button, and your name in a turquois block.
Clicking the Day/Night switch will toggle the Intranet interface between light a light color scheme and a dark color scheme.
The Help button will bring up more detailed documentation on how to use different intranet features.
Your name serves as a profile menu. Unless you are a director or assistant director, you will not see any options by clicking your name. If you are a director or assistant director, please refer to the documentation on this section by clicking the Help button.
Accessible via the navigation blocks are Help Desk, Directory, Calendar, Downloads, Enterprises, and Apps.
Clicking Help Desk will give you the options of all of the available help desks. Choosing one of those will take you to a form that you can fill out, and clicking Submit will send it to the appropriate helpdesk with your name on it. You will also receive a copy of the ticket for your records.
The Directory is very easy to use. There is a search bar at the top where you can search by First name, Last name, title, department, or extension. Clicking on an employees name will bring up more information such as their email address and mobile number (if they receive a cell phone stipend check).
The Calendar will show all upcoming events, days that admin is closed, and payday. Clicking on an event will give more information on it.
Clicking Downloads will bring up multiple categories. Choose on of these and it will break it down in to the individual downloads. Clicking one of the icons will begin the download.
Enterprises will show you many of the enterprise logos. Clicking on one of them will take you to that enterprise’s website.
The Apps block is a launcher for the CPN built applications, such as Recourse or the Tribal Court app. These are only accessible to members of those departments.
The widgets section is the main body of the intranet dashboard. Currently, it shows CPN News, Food Specials, Weather, Discounts, Poll, Open Positions, Recalls, and External Links.
CPN News pulls from Potawatomi.org to show you hand-selected articles to keep you in the know.
Food Specials will show you any specials that may be running at any of the CPN enterprises or restaurants.
The Weather widget shows the current weather in Shawnee, OK. Clicking Forecast at the bottom left will show a 10-day forecast.
The Discounts widget will show many of the employee discounts that CPN employees receive at CPN enterprises and partner businesses.
Poll is a place for departments to add surveys and get feedback from employees.
Open Positions pulls directly from Paycom to show the current open positions at CPN.
Recalls pulls directly from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission so you’ll know if your new product is actually trying to kill you.
External Links gives you links directly to some of the most commonly accessed websites, like Paycom or UMR.
