Citizen Potawatomi Nation member/Olympic synchronized swimmer Mary Killman discusses competing in the 2012 London Olympics. She says she will train for and attempt to make the U.S. Olympic team for the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Ms. Killman also says that she is prepared to begin college as she prepares for the next Olympics and will work toward a Sports Management degree.
She talks about her sport and about the extraordinary amount of work and training that are requir4ed to become a world-class athlete. And, she discusses her Citizen Potawatomi heritage and the inspiration she drew from fellow Citizen Potawatomi Olympian Jim Thorpe, who competed 100 years prior – in the 1912 Games in Stockholm, Sweden.
