Anetta Abbott, executive director of the inaugural Jim Thorpe Native American Games, discusses the event and updates information about preparations. It is scheduled for June 10-17, 2012 in Oklahoma City. Organizers are anticipating some 3,000 Indian athletes will compete in youth and adult divisions in 11 sports. Abbott says the board has added an East-West All-Star football game for American Indian athletes who will graduate from an Oklahoma high school this spring.
