Tribal member Kevin Foster’s music allows him to travel and see more of the world than most other 26-year-olds. Although he is often gone from his home and family in Oklahoma for weeks or months at a time, the passion remains.
This episode is filled with music! A Potawatomi folk artist releases her first solo album and plays a show in Oklahoma City, and the CPN Language Department teaches kids Christmas carols as part of a youth choir program. We’ll also explore the ways the Tribe gives back to the community around the holidays.
Musician and Tribal citizen Elexa Dawson won a grant to fund the production and promotion of her first solo album, taking inspiration from her Potawatomi heritage.
