Elder Program (Title VI)

The Citizen Potawatomi Nation Title VI Program began in the early 1980s to serve the needs of Tribal elders. Since then, the number of elders whom it serves has grown significantly as well as the list of services available to them. CPN members age 55 and older who live in the Citizen Potawatomi Nation jurisdiction are encouraged to participate in the program.

House of Hope

CPN House of Hope’s primary goal is to stop the cycle of violence and abuse. The program offers clients emergency shelter, counseling services, legal assistance, emergency transportation, and financial assistance. Additionally, House of Hope staff educates family members through parenting classes.

FireLodge Children & Family Services

FireLodge Children & Family Services serves as a local community resource for confidential services geared toward youth and families. An emphasis is placed on Native Americans to enhance, enrich, and develop cultural awareness in the areas of health and wellness.

Transit Department

The Citizen Potawatomi Nation is pleased to provide a transportation service to Shawnee and Tecumseh-area residents free of charge. This service is to help those 18 years of age and older get to their medical appointments, go shopping, gain their GED, apply for jobs, and be able to participate in programs such as the meals at the senior center and more.
