Diabetes Initiative

The Diabetes Initiative Program is a coordinated effort to prevent amputations, kidney failure, blindness, and heart disease in patients with diabetes. Patients 18 years of age or older are eligible to enroll in our Beginning Education About Diabetes (BEAD) classes. BEAD consists of five sessions that help to empower you with knowledge about diabetes and provide you with the skills to manage it so that you can take control of your life.
