DESCRIPTION:This District 2 meeting will take place at the Legacy Museum and National Memorial for Peace and Justice in Montgomery\, AL\, on Saturday\, February 11\, 2023\, from noon to 3 p.m. CT. The memorial is informally known as the National Lynching Memorial. It commemorates the Black victims of lynching in the United States and is intended to focus on and acknowledge past racial terrorism and advocate for social justice in America. District Legislator Eva Marie Carney has scheduled this event for the long Presidents Day weekend. The event will start with lunch and visiting together at the Museum cafe\, followed by a tour of the museum and memorial. All facilities are wheelchair accessible. This is a free event!
