Learn how to make a pair of mini moccasins to be used as a decorative ornament. The class will be held at the CPN Cultural Heritage Center on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. Class is free to attend, but RSVP is required to [email protected]. Participants must be 18 years or older.
Bring your ongoing sewing or beading projects to class to receive assistance from the Cultural Activities Coordinator, Leslie Deer. Class is free to attend. Participants must be 18 years or older.
Come cook-out with us at our District 8 Meeting! All food will be provided, though attendees are asked to bring a dessert to share. We will have an art contest, prizes for youngest and wisest, and updates and speakers. There is ample parking and play structures for kids in line of sight. The inaugural NIEA Charity Golf Classic will be held at FireLake Golf Course on Friday, June 3, 2022. The National Indian Education Association advances comprehensive, culture-based educational opportunities for American Indians, Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiians. Proceeds from the event will directly fund services for students and teachers, fellowships and internships, and workforce development initiatives.
The 37th Annual Budweiser FireLake Classic will return to FireLake Golf Course on June 18 & 19, 2022.
The Day of Champions Football & Sports Skills Camp experience is beyond just athletic skill enhancement, it provides one-on-one mentoring and coaching in athletics, health, fitness, life choices and the four principles of leadership. The annual Family Reunion Festival of Citizen Potawatomi Nation is a celebration of Native culture for the Potawatomi. Activities include Grand Entry, cultural classes, a dance contest and General Council. Tribal elections are decided during the Family Reunion Festival.
