For decades\, Lee has campaigned to make Juneteenth a federal holiday. lee helped to lead a 2.5 mile walk in recognition of the 2.5 years it took for the news of the Emancipation Proclamation to reach Texas. In June 2021\, at the age of 94\, Lee joined President Biden as he signed the bill to make Juneteenth a federal holiday into law. \nAdditional speakers include Tribal Chairman John “Rocky” Barrett\, Gary Jones\, Rev. John A. Reed\, Rev. Major Jemison\, Anastasia Pittman\, Rev. DESCRIPTION:The Day of Champions Football & Sports Skills Camp experience is beyond just athletic skill enhancement\, it provides one-on-one mentoring and coaching in athletics\, health\, fitness\, life choices and the four principles of leadership. The camp will be held June 20-21\, 2022\, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at FireLake Arena\, 18145 Old Rangeline Road\, Shawnee\, Oklahoma. Day of Champions is open to youth in 1st-8th grades. Camp is $15. DESCRIPTION:The 37th Annual Budweiser FireLake Classic will return to FireLake Golf Course on June 18 & 19\, 2022. Entry fee ($150 walking\, $200 riding with player) includes Friday practice round and competitive rounds Saturday and Sunday. Dinner and Calcutta will be held on Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Grand Casino Hotel and Resort. \n$89 special room rate at the Grand Casino Hotel and Resort will be available.
