CPN Conservation Camp 2019

The Citizen Potawatomi Nation hosts a Conservation Camp for incoming 6th through 9th graders who are a member of a federally recognized tribe. Registration is required by July 9th by emailing chcculturalactivities@potawatomi.org.

The topics and activities covered include a discussion about the aviary and wetlands, a visit with the CPN Community Garden and environmental department and a visit to the pool.

Participants will learn about eagles and wildlife conservation, wetland plants, recycling, water testing, monitoring, conservation efforts through drone use and engineering and plant identification. They will go on a nature walk, work in the community garden, visit the aviary and learn about resources for an education in STEM or conservation careers.

Participants should also bring a bathing suit for a swimming activity.
