The cross-deputation program also allows Citizen Potawatomi Nation police officers to have jurisdiction in Pottawatomie County. The department provides a full-service dispatch center in conjunction with the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Department and the Tribal Police departments of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma, Sac and Fox Nation, and Absentee Shawnee Tribe

The Citizen Potawatomi Nation Tribal Police Department is responsible for protecting and patrolling the 900-square-mile area that is within the Citizen Potawatomi Nation jurisdictional boundary.
