May 5 is day of awareness for MMIP

Statistics show American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) populations are disproportionately impacted by violence compared to other communities. May 5 has been designated as the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous People to bring acknowledgment and understanding to this crisis.
