Bozho (Hello),

This has become a very busy and growing year for the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Veterans Organization. Much has happened to advance, improve and guarantee the growth and continuation of our organization. We have created and voted a new position into our group. We have enlisted a facilitator, Chris Lenggenhager, a Tribal member who understands our objectives and will provide indirect assistance. He can link the CPN Veterans Organization to fellow veterans across the country. This will allow us to share our meetings and keep CPN veterans and organization members informed. There are many benefits to veterans that they may or may not know of. This will be a communication center for Tribal veterans. We have great hopes for the success of this move. For more information on the new program, you can contact Chris Lenggenhager at: [email protected] or call 405-878-5830 or 405-878-5840.

Remember, our Citizen Potawatomi Veterans Organization’s meetings are held at the Citizen Potawatomi Nation’s Cultural Heritage Center in the Veterans’ Memorial Hall on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. (or as soon as you can get there). In July it will be on the 22nd. Bring the family; dinner will be provided.

Calendar of meetings:

  • July 22
  • August 26
  • September 23
  • October 28
  • November — No meeting
  • December 9 — Christmas dinner at the CHC
