“The work I’m submitting is a self-published comic I wrote and produced for my final semester of my undergraduate degree. The title of the book is Flyover, it is 14 pages long, and published in an edition of 100 hand-bound copies. The story follows a young woman who is exploring the post-apocalyptic shores of Lake Michigan, trying to understand how the world around her got to be the way it is. This story is thematically inspired by my learning about Potawatomi oral traditions and lifeways as an adult, and how this knowledge changed my relationship with the area of Wisconsin I grew up in.”

“Following the Potawatomi tradition of using heavy silver, this 1 ½” wide bracelet consists of 3.42 ounces of Sterling Silver, a 13 carat natural Blue Ice turquoise stone, and .66 carat NATURAL blue diamonds. This sterling silver technique is a specialized technique that uses powdered sterling silver to create the mottled background effect.”

“Following the Potawatomi tradition of using heavy silver, this bracelet consists of 3.8 oz of sterling silver, and 1.8 gm of 14kt gold. The stamp work and overlay bracelet depicts the moon rising from behind Taos Mountain and a comet blazing through the sky while the stars twinkle. The background is hand textured and all stamping are from handmade stamps.”
Buckle Set 
“The buckle set consists of 2 oz of sterling silver and 30 carats of natural Bingham turquoise.  The stamped pattern and background are created using handmade stamps. Bingham turquoise was sourced from the Bingham mine in Utah that is no longer producing turquoise and making this buckle set rare and collectible.”
