The Native Nations Institute series continues with guests Urban Giff of the Gila River Tribe in Arizona and Joan Timeche, assistant director of the Native Nations Institute for Leadership Development. They explain that good governance requires effective, transparent, and accountable bureaucracies. They say that clearly defined organizational structures and roles and responsibilities help make things work and get things done. They explain how absence of these factors actively hinders Native nation governance and development efforts.
