Bozho nikanek
(Hello friends),

With cold and flu season upon us I would like to remind everyone about a few of the medical services offered by our great Nation.

The East Clinic, located at 2307 S. Gordon Cooper Drive in Shawnee, Oklahoma, now offers an urgent care clinic 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, closing noon-1 p.m. each day for lunch. This service is provided to Citizen Potawatomi Nation members on a first-come, first-served basis and can fill up quickly. If you are in need of care, get there as soon as possible so you can be seen and on the road to feeling better.

Flu shots are also available to tribal members through CPN’s Public Health Department. Please call 405-273-5236 to make an appointment. Public Health will offer a Drive-Thru Flu Drive 8 a.m.-11 a.m. Oct. 7 at First National Bank & Trust Co., 1545 S. Gordon Cooper Drive, for anyone age 5 or up. This event is free to the public and is a great way the tribe is giving back to the community.

In addition to urgent care, Citizen Potawatomi Health Services programs have expanded to include included optometry, mammography and physical therapy. Multiple new medical providers have been added to the staff to ensure the community receives the highest quality of care. It is an honor to serve the Nation with leaders who care and believe in making sure our members receive the best care possible.

Thank you to all of the providers and employees that work so hard day in and day out to make sure that level of care is maintained and most times exceeded.

I wish you health and happiness!
