Individual health and well being can be an important concern for individuals to ensure they maintain a healthy lifestyle. The annual Family Reunion Festival is the perfect time to do this. The event gives attendees the opportunity to receive important health information, check-ups and learn about what the newest services CPN has to offer.

This year the East and West clinics will be treating CPN members as usual but will also be holding tours of the facilities along with healthy giveaways. The East Clinic Health Fair will consist of glucose and cholesterol testing. The tours for both clinics will be given on Friday at 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the festival weekend.

Public Health will be doing blood pressure checks with giveaways and patient education info. The Behavioral Health department will be giving tours of their facility and giving away freebies and resource information. FireLake Wellness Center will have an open house and Tribal members will be performing Tanita body fat analysis scans.

The Diabetes Program and Healthy Heart Program will be hosting several events over the weekend that will include diabetes bingo, nutrition bingo and parent and child cooking demos for diabetes prevention.
The Senior Support Network will be managing the First Aid Booth at the festival grounds and will have licensed nurses there at all times. The First Aid booth will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday.

CPN’s West Admin Building will host tours of their new facility which now houses Contract Health, Business Office, Audiology and the Tribe’s newest addition, Optometry. The tours will be given from Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All events are subject to change.
