Potawatomi Health Services receptionists

Dentist Tennille Cheek-Covey, a CPN member, tends to a patient.

Tribal members and other Native Americans in its service area receive cost-effective medical services at the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Clinic. The Clinic was expanded in the late 1990s. It is now approximately 23,000 square feet in size, three times its previous size.

Completion of the expansion allowed expanding services, to include a laboratory, and x-ray and dental facilities. Additionally, a full line of Behavioral Health Services is available.

The Citizen Potawatomi Nation concluded negotiations with the Indian Health Services to operate its own health care program. This means the Nation and its members determine the health care needs and design programs appropriately.
