CPN Voters Support Chairman Barrett

Citizen Potawatomi Nation voters have given Chairman John 'Rocky' Barrett 78.97% of their votes, earning Chairman Barrett a new four-year term. The results have yet to be certified by the Citizen Potawatomi Nation Election Committee, chaired by Gary Bourbonnais. (Results for the Chairman's election are available here.)

In an election for a new four-year term for the CPN Legislature's District #4 Seat (state of Kansas), incumbent Theresa Adame outpolled fellow Topeka resident Jon Boursaw by 14 votes. (See the District #4 results here.)

In Legislative District #8, Dave Carney and Patrick Shannon face a run-off. (Get the District #8 vote results here.)  Shannon is the grandson of Jacqueline Taylor, who was elected to the District #8 seat in early 2008 but walked on in July 2008. Carney is the brother of District #2 Rep. Eva Marie Carney.
